Challenges

Is your product failing to excite your customers as expected? Would you like to better understand your target audience or find out if your app's new features are well-received? User testing provides a valuable way to answer such questions. However, there is often a fundamental misunderstanding at play: companies tend to focus on "convincing customers to act" instead of "developing products that customers truly want." How can we change that? Whether for new or existing products, every company should regularly test and evaluate its offerings in the real world to ensure they are relevant, useful, and captivating for the target audience.

Goal

Our goal is to equip you with knowledge and methods in the field of usability and user experience (UX) research. We provide you with tools and processes, helping you choose the right strategies to incorporate users more effectively into your product development process.

Target group

This training is ideal for Product Owners, product teams, and designers—or anyone involved in “working on the product” but without access to dedicated consumer insights or UX research departments/functions.

Content

This training imparts both theoretical and practical experience in the following areas:

  • Implementation and benefits of user testing at various stages of the product cycle
  • Selecting the right method
  • Setting up a user test, analyzing insights, and transforming them into actionable decisions for your product

We’ll show you how to organize insightful user tests with minimal resources, uncover customer needs, test prototypes, and optimize them effectively. You’ll also receive a practical checklist to help you prepare for and conduct user tests seamlessly.

Agenda:

  • When and why do user tests make sense?
  • What testing methods exist, and when should they be used? (Introduction to methods like interviews, surveys, usability tests, A/B testing, card sorting, etc.)
  • How to choose the right user test based on different goals
  • How to set up and evaluate user tests
  • Effective communication of UX insights and findings to decision-makers
  • Practical user study (using your question as an example) to test an approach
