Challenges

The Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) presents a challenge for companies, as they are required to make their digital offerings accessible by 2025. Many businesses face the task of adapting existing websites and digital services to meet legal requirements while also improving the user experience for people with disabilities. This involves technical, design, and content adjustments to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Without targeted planning and clear goal definition, the implementation may become unnecessarily complex or fall short of expectations, leading to legal consequences and negative impacts on user satisfaction.

Goal

The goal of the training is to help companies and web developers understand and implement the requirements of the BFSG and WCAG 2.2. The following objectives should be achieved:

  • Identification of relevant accessibility standards and laws
  • Improvement of accessibility on websites and digital services

  • Creating a positive corporate image by implementing an accessibility statement
