Challenges

The Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) poses a challenge for companies, requiring them to make their digital offerings accessible by mid-2025. Many organizations face the task of adapting existing websites and digital services to comply with legal requirements while also improving the user experience for people with disabilities. This involves technical, design, and content adjustments to meet the standards outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Without targeted planning and clear goal-setting, these implementations can become unnecessarily complex or fall short of expectations, potentially leading to legal repercussions and negative impacts on user satisfaction.

Goal

The objective of the training is to provide companies, designers, project managers, and other non-technical audiences with a fundamental understanding of the importance and implementation of accessibility. The focus is on raising awareness of user needs, complying with legal requirements such as the BFSG, and offering practical approaches to planning and designing accessible digital products.
